Christmas Banner & Our Tree Decorated!

I think I am finally finished with my banner.
Close-up details of each flag.

I love this reindeer stamp.
It is the Dasher stamp from Stampin' Up.

One of my favorite Ornaments.  I bought it through Avon almost 10 years ago.

OH CHRISTMAS TREE!  Now if I can start wrapping some gifts to place under it.

Christmas Tree Farm!

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is going to the Christmas Tree Farm. We can pick out a tree and someone from the farm comes over and cuts it down for you. But this is not the only reason why I love this farm. It is because of the cute Charlie Brown trees and village.  We also saw Santa and was able to sit on his sled!  We do not go every year, this is our 3rd year going (out of the last 5 years.) I also love seeing how much the kids have grown each time we go through the pictures over the years.

I have also started several projects. A Banner and a mini album. I think I am going to make 2 mini albums this year!  Pics coming up!

Christmas Wreath Revamped!

In addition to painting the living rooms, we resided our house this year. The old siding was grey cedar shingles with baby blue shutters. So to match the old siding, I bought an artificial wreath and decorated it with the silver bow & bells shown above but with a silver & blue ribbon and silver & blue glittered mini ornament balls. So now that my house has been resided to a yellow/golden shingle siding I decided to upgrade my wreath to match. The kept the same wreath, silver bow & bells and the silver glitter mini ornaments. I changed to ribbon to a red with white snowflake pattern and added red ornament balls. I think it looks pretty :)

I'm painting the Frames Black.....

I'm painting the frames black, I'm painting the frames BLACK!
(Sung like I'm painting the roses red in Alice in Wonderland)
That is what I kept singing to myself as I was painting my picture frames black.  We repainted our living room a year ago and before painting the walls all the picture frames were taken down.  The pictures frames were in all sorts of shades of wood.  Oak, Cherry, bare- you name it.  So the procrastinator in me never put them back up because I wanted a uniform look with perhaps a different color here and there just to add a little interest.  So over the weekend I decided not to invest in new frames and use what I already had at home: I decided to paint the frames black and one or two will be painted white.  (My walls are painted golden retreiver from Benjamin Moore.)  It was fairly simple and took less than two hours.  I painted the frames with black acrylic paint which came out pretty dull and scraped off pretty easily so I sealed the paint with good ole mod podge.

Now on to more Christmas Spirit.  Here is a pic of some of my christmas decor.

I am going to attempt to make a banner with my cricut and gypsy.  I have already cut out some pieces and will work on putting it together throughout the week.  I think next week I may do a canvas painting/collage for christmas- I haven't decided what to do yet.  Maybe a wreath with circle pictures and buttons or Santa??

Fall is out, Winter is now In!

Up until this weekend the weather has been pretty mild 50's sometimes going down to the 40's. It still felt like fall. Welll I decided to finish up the fall projects I have been working on and start some Christmas projects. Here are the Fall projects, most of these layouts were done for the PersonalScrapper.com on-line preholiday crop. It was a week long crop with 10 challenges for the week of Thanksgiving up until the Sunday afterwards. I didn't have a chance to upload them for the crop but this is what I have done and I am happy to be able to scrap some photos.

Next up is the memory box and 50 note cards I did at Denise's house Friday night.  Denise is a CTMH consultant and has great ideas and always super helpful. (memory box & pattern papers are from CTMH) :

Inside with note cards.  I have extra embellies inside to customize the cards when ready for use.

Lastly today's project was a copy of Judy's paper latern from November Stamp Camp.
Here is the one we put together at Stamp Camp (the snowflake punch is from Stampin' UP!:

Here are the paper lanterns my daughter and I created together (The snowflake punch in this is the Martha Stewart Snowflake).

Well, this extra long post has made up for the few days I have already missed.  I received my GYPSY yesterday so I am off to go play and hopefully will have a few more crafts for you this week!

OOPS- Already missed a day- Day 2

It is Day 3 and I did not have a chance to Post of Day 2-
Day 2 was extremely busy-
I had to drive upstate last night for an Architectural Review Board  meeting that I did not know I was attending until noon yesterday.  The traffic was horrendous!  It took me over 2 hours to get off Long Island.  I arrived in Port Chester at 7:15 waited around until 8:00pm to be told- we made a mistake, you do not have to be here tonight we'll get in touch with you when a decision has been made.  I was able to get home an 1 hr & 5 minutes....really????? Traffic stinks!!!   Oh well, Tis the Season!
I finished my fall layouts last  and put aside the fall scrappiness and took at all of my Christmas Papers & Embellies!
I can't wait to create tonight.
I am attending Denise's 50 Note Card Workshop & Memory Box tonight- so I will be posting again with some crafty goods!

WHERE DID NOVEMBER GO?????

What a busy month!  Soccer and Football has ended.  My last class for my 1st series of SDU classes ended this month.  It was a great experience.  I hope the students had a great time, learned alot and are motivated to keep scrapping!

For new news- I am a stampin' up consultant now!  They had an awesome sale price on the starter pack and I figured why not- let's try it.  I certainly use alot of their products and I love teaching classes so why not become a consultant.  Thank you Judy for taking me under your wing.  Judy is my upline and I try to attend her monthly stamp camps (when Brownies are not scheduled that night)
Here are a few cards that we made at the last stamp camp in November:

Personalscrapper.com had another on-line crop this week (Pre-Holiday Crop)  I was so busy creating and getting my ideas together that I forgot to upload for each challenge.  I will upload later this week once I have taken pictures of each layout.  For the month of December I am going to try to blog once a day with a layout, picture or project!  Maybe a sneak peak at some of my brainstorms for Stampin' Up workshops.   Wish me luck!
