Newport, RI

Last weekend my mom asked if the kiddies can stay with her for the weekend. Since this is a rare moment we dropped off the kids on Friday afternoon and drove up to Newport, Rhode Island. This was the first time we have every visited this cute harbor city. There is a lot to do and the people were great everywhere. There are a ton of shops, great places to eat & drink. The days are spent site seeing and enjoying the beautiful scenery and the nightlife is full of action. We stayed at a cute Bed & Breakfast called the Artful Lodger. It was quaint and full of Victorian Era decor. The Elms Mansion was across the street and the conservatory room had a beautiful view that was perfect with our specialty french toast breakfast the innkeeper made for us. It was delicious and the innkeeper Jackie was super nice and helpful. I added pictures of some of the highlights of our trip which included a trip to the vineyards where my hubby attended his first tasting, a sunset sailing, a trip to Gooseberry Beach, and we went a little shopping :)

Cards

Here are some recent cards I put together.
For the birthday card I used Stampin' up stamp party set and Basic Grey's Green at Heart PP.

The Thank you cards were created using Stampin' Up Party Ponies & Wow Flowers stamp sets, SU patterned paper and a Fiskars Treading Water border punch.

On-line Crop with Personal Scrapper

I am already bad with keeping up to date with this blog! A couple of weeks ago there was an online crop at Personalscrapper.com. If you haven't checked out their kits you should! Each month is packed with the newest pattern papers from many different manufacturers. Here is a couple of layouts I did for the crop. Most of the layouts were created from papers and embellies from these kits.
